Behind the Name
Spoon & Thistle is more than a name - it's a reflection of my journey and the heart behind this boutique.
The spoon comes from the term "spoonie," a symbol used in the chronic illness community. As someone living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, the spoon reminds me to be intentional with my energy and to extend grace to myself on the days when it isn't easy.
The thistle represents resilience. It grows and blooms in difficult conditions, reminding me that strength and beauty can exist side by side, even through life's hardest seasons.
Together, Spoon & Thistle is a reminder that beauty and resilience often grow together. It's my hope that this boutique reflects those same values and helps you find clothing that makes you feel confident, beautiful, and like yourself.

Hi, I'm Brittany!
By day, I'm a registered nurse, and by heart, I'm the founder of Spoon & Thistle. Living with multiple chronic illnesses for most of my life has taught me how important it is to have clothing that feels just as comfortable as it is stylish. This inspired me to create a boutique where women can find thoughtfully curated pieces that feel just as good as they look.
Spoon & Thistle is more than a boutique to me - it's a dream built from my own journey and a way to help women feel confident in what they wear, no matter what their day looks like.
